Liam Baer (Bar Consultant)

Born and raised in Boston, Liam fell in love with cocktails when he had his first Manhattan back in 2002. He decided to follow this love and transition from a career in tech, where he cut his teeth in NYC working at some of the most notable bars in the city including Apotheke, Weather Up, and The Richardson. His skills eventually took him across the world to Taipei where he lead an intimate, no menu cocktail bar called Ounce, a perennial resident on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. Himself no stranger to the list of World’s Best Bars, he spent 5 years in Asia opening and running award winning bars in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Singapore before moving to Paris to take over the cocktail program at Paris cocktail hotspot Le Mary Celeste, another mainstay on the World’s 50 Best list.


He’s since returned to the states and now calls Los Angeles home, where he’s helmed the cocktail programs at LA hot spots, Gwen, Roberta’s, Pretty Dirty, and most recently awarded winning and James Beard nominated Bavel in the LA Arts District. From Mixologist to Bar Director, Liam is the bar leader that everyone needs on their team. Liam is more than a bar consultant at Savory Hospitality, he is our go-to bar curator of award-winning cocktail programs that shine for our restaurant and bar consulting clients.


Liam’s cocktails have been featured in numerous online publications and books, including the celebrated Gaz Regan’s 101 Best Cocktails and Brad Thomas Parsons’ award-winning “Amaro".
