In what seems like a different lifetime, Payman Bahmani started out as a lawyer but quickly realized he’d rather practice at a different type of bar. His passion for craft cocktails eventually took him around the world, working in numerous bars on the World’s 50 Best list like Please Don’t Tell in NYC, Ounce in Taipei, 28 HongKong Street in Singapore, and OSTERIA MOZZA, a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant in LA. He now brings his passion for world class cocktails and hospitality to his childhood home, Los Angeles. You can see Payman's skills on display in various publications as The Village Voice, AskMen, Daily Candy, Eater (NY and LA), Serious Eats, Gothamist, NY Daily News, and Grubstreet.
A rare Los Angeles native, Payman’s passion for cocktails and his well-rounded education on spirits have made him a key bar creator & educator at Savory Hospitality Restaurant Consulting. Payman's versatile skills and deep understanding of local restaurant landscapes have led him to consult for a variety of hospitality outlets from solo bars to full-service restaurants, and makes Savory Hospitality's bar consulting a shining asset for all types of clients.
Payman's cocktails are also featured in the 2011 and 2014 editions of Gary Regan’d Annual Manual for Bartenders, as well as the award winning book “Amaro” by Brad Thomas Parsons.
